The silky smooth lead presence in New Edition, Ralph released his solo debut album in late 1990, and his debut single "Sensitivity" produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis was a huge success. Ralph followed up with "Stone Cold Gentleman" and "Do What I Gotta Do," before contributing to the House Party soundtrack and film, and releasing his 1994 sophomore effort, It's Goin Down.

Ralph Tresvant remains best known for his hit single "Sensitivity" and as lead singer of New Edition. The group is planning to re-emerge on the Bad Boy label in late 2003 or early 2004 with a full-length album of new material featuring production by Jam & Lewis and Mario "Yellow Man" Winans.
