As you have probably noticed, NJS4E was in a slight holding pattern over the last two months
or so due to some technical difficulties. However, we are more than happy to say that
this site is in official REACTIVATION mode and that we are still on track to make 2008
a VERY unforgettable year. Some amazing things are underway, and we will share them
with you as we get closer to having those things materialize.
In the meantime however, for fans of Uptown Records....we've got some information
for you. A new tour is headed your way...and NJS4E will have the concert dates for you
FIRST. It's the Uptown Swing Tour featuring Christopher Williams, Jeff Redd, Horace Brown, Father MC, and special guest Johnny Kemp!
Again...NJS4E is working with the promoter to make sure you get the 411 and don't miss this show when it comes to your neck of the woods...so stay tuned!

With the return of the New Kids On The Block, and the emergence of a new Maurice Starr act named the Heartbeat Boys, NJS4E is aware that we may be entering yet another "pop" music era in today's music. The New Jack Swing Era took place during Pop Explosion I (Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, New Kids On The Block) and this could be an indicator of a return to the upbeat positivity of New Jack Swing. In the meantime, Jarrell Mason of The Time Machine/NJS4E has interviewed Donna Wright, former manager of The Backstreet Boys and 'Nsync - you can check out his interview with her at one of NJS4E's sub-sections, "The Popstand."
One last update for now....Hakeem Abdulsahmad (The Boys) co-wrote the New Kids'
newest song produced by new producer/artist, Nasri called "Click Click Click"
which you can check out below...
More updates on the way over the next several weeks.
If you haven't heard by now, rapper Heavy D is back out on the road to perform, and just did a show in Los Angeles during the last weekend of January with Big Daddy Kane. And this weekend, Teddy Riley will be performing with Doug E. Fresh at a SuperBowl wknd afterparty in Arizona. And last but not least, New Jack Era superstar and current American Idol judge Paula Abdul launches her comback bid this year during the SuperBowl broadcast with her first single, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow."
Is it us, or does it feel like 1988 happening all over again? Let's see.
#1. New Kids On The Block announce a reunion
#2. Paula Abdul stages a comeback
#3. Keith Sweat, Al B. Sure, Heavy D, and Doug E. Fresh all re-emerge

We're sure there is more on the way considering we're only a month into 2008.
But these are indeed exciting times for those of us who rememeber...
the days when rhythmic music was just a bit more....fun.
