: Entouch

87This Atlanta-based male duo is one of new jack's last outfits to convey a light pop sound before the genre acquired a harder-edge. Being Elektra's second urban contemporary signing in its many years, Keith Sweat immediately took them under his wing. With his guidence and poise, Entouch's debut release ignited two chart hits in "All Nite" (which features Sweat), and "II Hype." The former rose to #7 R&B in the fall of '89. Despite their debut success, Entouch never really caught hold of the new jack audience. They would record a sophomore effort to favorable reviews in the fall of '91, but it stalled at the bottom of the charts. Soon after, Entouch faded into obscurity and has never been heard from again.

The members of Entouch were named Eric McCaine and Free. After Entouch disbanded, McCaine would go on to work with Lorenzo, Kut Klose, and Tyler Collins.
